Police arrest youth after weapon brandished at Cambridge mall

Members of Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Neighbourhood Policing South Division have arrested and charged a youth after a weapon was brandished at a Cambridge mall.

On February 25, 2022, at approximately 4 p.m., police responded to the Cambridge Centre after receiving a call from mall security regarding three youths with weapons.

Police were able to locate the three youths as they were leaving the mall.

As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old male was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. A BB gun was seized from the youth.
