Police investigate second attempted robbery at Conestoga Mall jewelry store

Police say six suspects fled in a silver SUV around 2 this afternoon

Two days after a gang of six thieves attempted to rob a jewelry store at Conestoga Mall in Waterloo, a second gang hit the shopping centre this afternoon but failed to get inside.

Waterloo regional police said a gang of six entered the mall around 1:50 p.m. after arriving in a silver SUV.

They fled when a store security guard shouted to close the gates to a jewelry store.

Another security guard pursued the suspects and observed them leave in the same SUV.

The suspects are described as:

  • Suspect 1: Male, wearing black clothes and white shoes
  • Suspect 2: Male, wearing a light grey hoodie, dark grey pants, black shoes, a white face mask, and carrying a duffle bag
  • Suspect 3: White male, wearing a light grey Adidas hoodie, black pants, black shoes, a black face mask, and white gloves
  • Suspect 4: Male, wearing black clothing, white shoes, and carrying a black duffle bag
  • Suspect 5: Black male, wearing a dark grey hoodie, black pants, white socks, black and white shoes, white gloves, and a white face mask
  • Suspect 6: Black male, wearing black clothes, white shoes, and white gloves

No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Robbery Team.
