Police investigate three-vehicle collision that closed Maple Grove Road

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Unit continue to investigate a collision in Cambridge. 

On April 4, 2022, at approximately 5 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to the intersection of Maple Grove Road and Beaverdale Road in Cambridge for reports of a collision involving three vehicles.

A 46-year-old Cambridge male was operating a silver Honda van east on Maple Grove Road when the driver struck a Toyota Highlander that was travelling north. The force of the collision caused the silver Honda to strike a red Ford Fusion. 

As a result of the collision, all vehicles had significant damage. 

The driver of the Toyota Highlander was transported to hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Roads were closed for approximately four hours while police investigated.
