Police investigating after Cambridge convenience store robbed at knifepoint

Incident happened on Saturday afternoon

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a robbery that happened in Cambridge on Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Christopher Drive and Champlain Boulevard for a report of a robbery.

The suspect entered a convenience store brandishing a knife and demanded money from the store clerk. The suspect fled the area with an undisclosed amount of cash. 

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately six feet tall, with a thin build. The suspect was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, a black button-up peacoat, dark grey pants, black shoes, white gloves, dark sunglasses and a green camouflage face covering. 

The investigation is ongoing.
