Police investigating Cambridge hit and run

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a hit and run collision in Cambridge Sunday morning. 

On March 6, 2021, at approximately 5:30 a.m., emergency services responded to the area of Saginaw Parkway and Stonecairn Drive for reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a car. 

The victim was attempting to remove a pet from the roadway when they were struck by a red sedan travelling west on Saginaw Parkway. It was reported that the driver of the red sedan honked its horn prior to the collision, but that the vehicle did not stop after striking the victim.

The victim was transported to a local hospital by Region of Waterloo paramedics with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
