On February 26, 2022, at approximately 11:40 p.m., police responded to the area of Simcoe Street and Ainslie Street North in Cambridge for a report of a robbery.
The victim was assaulted by an unknown suspect(s) and had their personal belongings taken.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital by Waterloo Regional Paramedic Services.
The investigation is ongoing and this is believed to be a targeted incident.
