Police probe report of person shooting at deer in Woolwich Township

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a weapons incident in Woolwich Township.

On Feb. 14 at approximately 10:30 p.m., police received a report of an unknown individual attempting to shoot deer in the side yard of a residential complex in the area of Front Street and Isabella Street.

Witnesses observed deer within the complex and heard the nearby gunshots. The deer fled the area. The individual is believed to have discharged a firearm while on a nearby walking trail.

There were no physical injuries reported. There were no reports of property damage.

The investigation is ongoing.
