Police probe road rage incident involving firearm in Cambridge

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a road rage incident in Cambridge that involved a firearm.

On Nov. 15 around 7:10 p.m., police received a report of an incident near Saginaw Parkway and Green Vista Drive.

A driver reported he had been travelling south on Franklin Boulevard. When he stopped at Can-Amera Parkway, a second driver exited his vehicle and threatened the first driver before returning to his vehicle.

Both vehicles continued south on Franklin Boulevard, turned east onto Saginaw Parkway and stopped on Green Vista Drive.

Police said at this point the second driver displayed a firearm and threatened the first driver before striking him with the firearm.

The victim sustained minor physical injuries, according to a police news release.

The second driver returned to his vehicle and fled the area, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years old, with dirty blond hair.
