Police seek public assistance in suspicious fire investigation

A structure fire ignited on Forestell Road, west of Guelph, leaving extensive damage, police say

PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP - Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for the public's assistance regarding a suspicious fire investigation.

On July 11, 2022, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Wellington County OPP, along with the Guelph Fire Department, Cambridge Fire Department, Puslinch Fire Department, and Guelph/Eramosa Fire Department, responded to a structure fire on Forestell Road, west of Guelph. 

An unoccupied abandoned structure sustained extensive damage. The dollar value of the damages has yet to be established. 

At this time, the cause of the fire remains undetermined, pending further investigation.

The Wellington County OPP and the Wellington County OPP Crime Unit are asking any person with further information regarding this incident to please contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
