Police seize suspected cocaine, cash during Cambridge raid

Waterloo Regional Police seize a large quantity of suspected cocaine from a residence in Cambridge.

On Aug. 19, 2021, the Waterloo Regional Police Service's, Direct Action Response Team (DART), with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team, completed a search warrant at a residence on Dundas Street in Cambridge.

As a result of the investigation, a 48-year-old male and 51-year-old female were arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking a schedule I substance.

Police seized a large quantity of suspected cocaine and Canadian currency from the residence along with a prohibited weapon.

Both parties were held for a bail hearing.
