Police shed light on South Street shooting investigation

Police say homeowner discovered a hole in a second-storey window

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a shooting incident in Cambridge. 

On Aug. 8, 2021, at approximately 8:35 a.m., police responded to a report of property damage in the area of South Street and McKay Street.

The homeowner had discovered a hole in a second-storey window. Through investigation, it was determined that the hole was caused by a bullet.

There were no physical injuries reported at the time.
