Replica firearms, suspected drugs seized as part of search warrant

On Sept. 23, 2021, Members of Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Drugs and Firearms Unit and Emergency Response Team completed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant in the area of Albert Street and Elliott Street in Cambridge.

As a result of the investigation, a 42-year-old Cambridge female, and a 40-year-old Cambridge male, were arrested.

Investigators seized suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with three replica firearms.

The male is facing drug-related offences, including possession for the purpose of trafficking in addition to a firearm prohibition breach.

The female is facing drug-related offences, including two counts of possession of a controlled substance as well as arrested on outstanding warrants.
