Three charged after narcotics seized during search warrant

On Jan. 6, 2022, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Direct Action Response Team (DART), Emergency Response Team, and the joint Waterloo-Guelph Human Trafficking Team completed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant in the area of Walter Street and Mortimer Drive in Cambridge.

Investigators seized suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl and hydromorphone.

As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old male, a 42-year-old male, both from Cambridge, and a 30-year-old Kitchener female were arrested and charged with numerous drug and weapons-related offences.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Direct Action Response Team is committed to the safety of all citizens through proactive initiatives.

The Joint Waterloo-Guelph Human Trafficking team has been made possible by a grant from the Proceeds of Crime Front-Line Policing Grant through the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
