A 42-year-old Kitchener man is in custody awaiting a bail hearing after Waterloo regional police arrested him in connection to a mischief investigation in Kitchener.
On November 20, 2024, between 3 a.m. and 3:20 a.m., an unknown male damaged a Dodge Caravan parked in a parking lot on Sydney Street South. The male then stole property from the vehicle.
On December 9, 2024, the suspect was located and arrested by officers from WRPS' Neighbourhood Policing Central Division.
The Kitchener man has been charged with theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000, mischief over $5,000, and breach of probation.
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.

Police want help identifying a man captured on video breaking into a vehicle in Kitchener.
Waterloo regional police say on Nov. 20, between 3 a.m. and 3:20 a.m., an unknown male damaged a Dodge Caravan parked in a parking lot on Sydney Street South. The male then stole property from the vehicle.
Officers would like to identify and speak with the individual pictured.
