On May 11, 2022, at approximately 6:45 p.m., police responded to a report a stabbing in the area of Scott Road and Nickolas Crescent in Cambridge.
The victim was located and transported by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old youth from Cambridge was charged with the following:
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
The youth was held for a show cause hearing.
Both individuals are known to one another and the investigation is ongoing.
