Waterloo Regional Police are investigating two attempt robberies in Cambridge.

On Nov. 14, 2021, police responded to Franklin Boulevard and Main Street for reports of two attempt robberies. 

At approximately 1:05 a.m., the suspect approached the victim and demanded their vehicle. The suspect stated he had a gun, however, he did not present a weapon. The victim fought off the suspect, who then fled the area on foot.

Approximately three minutes later, the same suspect approached another vehicle parked behind a business. The suspect pulled a knife from their waistband and demanded their vehicle. The victim got out of their vehicle and ran into a store, and the suspect fled the area on foot.

There were no physical injuries reported in either incident. 

The suspect was described as a white male, 18 to 20 years old, approximately 5'9" tall, with a slim build. The male was last seen wearing a dark blue hat and denim jacket. 

The investigation is ongoing.
