The Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit is investigating a collision that occurred in Cambridge. 

On July 25, 2022, at approximately 4:10 p.m., emergency services responded to a report of a collision on Coronation Boulevard near Highland Park. 

The initial investigation determined that a Kia was travelling west on Coronation Boulevard when it was struck by a Honda exiting a private driveway onto Coronation Boulevard.

The collision resulted in extensive damage to both vehicles.

The driver of the Kia, a 79-year-old Cambridge female, was transported to a local hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Honda, a 21-year-old female from Cambridge, did not sustain any physical injuries.

Coronation Boulevard was closed for several hours while police investigated.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are anticipated.
