Police investigating death of 15-month-old boy in Cambridge

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating the death of a young child from a residence on King Street East in Cambridge. 

On September 26, 2022, just after 9:40 p.m., Emergency Services responded to a medical incident involving a 15-month-old boy. Upon arrival, the young child was located unresponsive and was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  

Members of Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime Unit are continuing to investigate the incident, in conjunction with the Coroner’s Office. 

The Major Crime Unit is mandated to investigate all cases of death involving children under five years of age.
