How long have you lived in Cambridge?

I have lived in Cambridge for well over 30 years.

Why are you running for mayor?

I am running for mayor of Cambridge and except for the fact that I also ran for mayor in the previous election, I actually have little experience.

However, when I think about the word "experience," it doesn't really speak about whether a person did a good job or a bad job. Experience is simply an indication of how long that person was in that position. It is a determination of the time spent and not necessarily of what was accomplished.

Why should people vote for you?

I am a hard working individual that is running for mayor because I'm confident I can help make the right decisions and choices for the people of this city, through proper planning and investigating to ensure monies spent is done so for the right issues.

I will embrace and champion diversity with equal dedication to any and all concerns, as there is such a range of issues that require serious attention.

What do you consider the top issue is in Cambridge?

Whenever I'm asked about my top three issues, I immediately think about the people of our city. What I mean is, within the first 100 days in office I will focus on what revenue is being spent and where it is going.

After being in office for a few months I will hold "town hall " meetings throughout the communities to keep the citizens apprised of how their hard earned tax dollars are being spent and where it is going. I will be a mayor that spends time with the public to not only inform but to listen to what concerns they have.

What is your priority to make Cambridge a better place to live and work?

Not having held office before, it takes a bit of time to see the inner workings of city hall, in order to prioritize the important concerns of the people and what is the best decisions for our city. So, priorities are to get a firm grasp on the issues that council has on the table as well as understand the budget and funds available.

The mayor must have a complete understanding of all this, to assist in making the right decisions. We have serious issues to deal with and I will treat every one with the serious dedication they deserve.
