Why are you running for school board trustee?

I am running for trustee to make a positive impact in our community. I want to make sure underrepresented voices are heard and that our schools are
safe, inclusive, and equitable spaces.

What do you think the role of a school board trustee is, and what attributes do you have to offer?

Trustees are advocates for public education. They are elected by the community to represent them and communicate with them about what is happening within the school board, with a focus on well-being, equity, and student achievement. I am passionate about public education. I am a good listener, calm, and optimistic.

As you look at education in the years ahead, what do you think are the most important issues?

I think the most important thing we can do is to ensure safe, inclusive, and equitable spaces for students and staff.

There were many in the community who had witnessed difficult relations within WRDSB this past year. What will you do differently to help heal and move forward?

I am able to work effectively and respectfully with others regardless of whether we agree or not.
