Waterloo Region – This coming weekend, the Every Dose Counts event that is focusing on vaccinating Waterloo Region’s 5-11 year olds is also going to be able to accommodate adults 70+ and health care workers who need a booster dose of the vaccine (six months or 168 days after their second dose). Many people who are eligible for booster doses will have the opportunity to book an appointment for the Every Dose Counts event on December 11-12.

Appointments for third doses will be limited to adults 70+ and health care workers and can be booked on the Region of Waterloo website: regionofwaterloo/GetaVaccine

Parents and families of 5-11 year olds are still encouraged to book an appointment for the Every Dose Counts weekend where many special activities have been planned so children have a positive vaccination experience.

The Cambridge Pinebush vaccination clinic has increased its capacity for the weekend event, and three community mobile clinics will make it easier for residents of some neighbourhoods to get the vaccine closer to home.

  • Saturday, December 11: Chandler Mowat Community Centre (9:30 a.m. – 12 noon)
  • Saturday, December 11: Victoria Hills Community Centre (1-3:30 p.m.)
  • Sunday, December 12: Cedarbrae Public School (1-5 p.m.)

With the increasing spread of the Delta variant, anyone who is not fully vaccinated and is eligible for a first, second or third dose is encouraged to book an appointment for the Every Dose Counts event.
