Region administers more than 18K fourth doses since July 14

It's been almost a month since all adults in Ontario became eligible for fourth doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

As of July 14, fourth dose eligibility was expanded to every Ontarian aged 18 and up.

A spokesperson with Region of Waterloo Public Health has confirmed a total of 18,668 fourth doses were administered locally from July 14 to August 7.

According to the online summary dashboard, there have been nearly 70,000 fourth doses administered to Waterloo Region residents since the vaccination rollout began. That represents 14.2 per cent of locals 18 and older.
