Weekly COVID-19 update for WR shows decline in ICU admissions

The latest weekly COVID-19 update for Waterloo Region has been released. 

The data shows there has been a decline in related ICU admissions. The total is down from seven last week to three this week. 

Hospitalizations rose slightly, from 40 to 41. There are no new related deaths confirmed. 

There were 225 new cases reported in the last week. The active caseload rose by six to 314, while 240 more cases were deemed resolved. 

Active outbreaks in high-risk settings increased by one to a total of 10, with seven impacting long-term care and retirement homes. You can find the complete list of outbreaks on the region's dashboard.
