LETTER: Rules for homeless don't seem to be consistent

Adequate housing must be found to keep the already-too-large population of homeless from growing further, writes reader Ted Kewley.

Cambridge today received the following letter about our story about a pending eviction on Dundas Street and the city's response to homeless encampments.

It seems rather odd that the city is going to have these residents of 200 Dundas St. S evicted, but the encampment at 150 Main St. is permitted to stay.

While I am appalled at the landlord renting illegally, I empathize with the tenants and their housing dilemma. Hopefully adequate, affordable housing can be found so that these people are not added to the already-too-large population of homeless individuals.
