For-profit businesses and not-for-profit community organizations are welcome to apply
2022 0101 Cambridge Canada Day Parade BL 10
The annual parade down King Street East is a highlight of the Cambridge Canada Day festivities.

With the country's 157th birthday just months away, the Cambridge Celebrates Canada Day committee is hard at work planning this year's party.

As part of those preparations, they've officially opened applications for the annual parade down King Street East.

Entries are being accepted from both for-profit businesses and not-for-profit community organizations.

Businesses such as dance studios, gyms and sports facilities are required to fill out the corporate application form found here.

Not-for-profits or community groups like neighbourhood association, minor sports teams and charities complete a separate application on the Cambridge Canada website.

All applications are online only, with early bird pricing available until April 30.

Other than floats in the parade, the committee is also seeking parade performers, food and vendors, and volunteers.

The day will get underway at 8 a.m. with the fishing derby, followed by the parade at 11 a.m. Midways, an adult beverage area, a children's area and live music is all planned.

After dusk, the fan favourite fireworks display will be set off in Riverside Park.
