The Cambridge Memorial Hospital posted an update to the times for their COVID assessment centre, closing early today at 4:30 p.m. instead of their usual 8:30 p.m. closing time.

The communications department at CMH confirmed this was due to staffing shortages and will need to be evaluated on a daily basis to keep up with demand.

They also confirmed during the latest, sixth wave of COVID-19 in the community, demand for testing has been increasing while staff have been off sick or isolating from being exposed to the virus.

Their website is also reporting an increase in wait times for the emergency department as of Easter Sunday.
