A Cambridge resident is one step closer to claiming a lottery prize worth $75,000.

As Christopher Tatham's daughter works for an authorized OLG retailer, his claim with Instant Casino Cash (Game #2340) falls within OLG's definition of an "insider win," the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. says.

Claims of $10,000 or more made by "insiders" require enhanced review and validation as well as a 30-day publication period prior to payment to ensure there are no additional claims on the winning ticket, the OLG said in a news release.

The prize will be paid to the claimant on June 17, pending no additional claims prior to that date, according to OLG.

"It is OLG's goal to ensure that the right prize is paid to the right person(s) every time," the lottery corporation stated.

The ticket was purchased at Glen's Variety Store and Gas Bar on St. Andrews Street in Cambridge.
