The rainbow crosswalk restored.

A contractor working for the City of Cambridge has restored the rainbow crosswalk at the intersection of Dickson and Wellington streets after mistakenly painting over the Pride symbol Tuesday night.

In a tweet the city says it is happy to have the crosswalk back in time for June Pride celebrations taking place in the core.

The city was apologetic Wednesday after learning the crosswalk had been painted over in error Tuesday night, which happened to be the eve of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia.
