Jaime Neves of Cambridge is $500,000 richer after winning with the Instant Reel Cash game.

Neves, a 61-year-old husband and father, said he is a regular lottery player and Instant tickets are his favourite.

“I played my ticket at home and noticed that it looked like I won. I thought it couldn’t be true, so I pulled out my phone and scanned it about 15 times on the OLG app,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.

The retiree said his heart was racing when he asked his wife to take a second look. “She scanned it herself a couple times then she started crying, I started crying, and we shared a hug and kiss in celebration,” Jamie smiled.

First thing he plans to do is help his children, then he will complete some home renovations. “We were planning to go on a cruise next year for my wife’s birthday – now we’ll upgrade our cabin,” he smiled.

“I’m so thankful for this blessing. I always dreamed about a big win. I will tell everyone, don’t stop dreaming!” he concluded.

Instant Reel Cash is available for $20 and the top prize is $500,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.39.

The winning ticket was purchased at Ribeiro’s Market on Cambridge Street in Cambridge.

OLG supports safe play and promotes responsible gambling with its PlaySmart program.
