Cambridge Shelter Corp hosting annual charity golf tournament

The tournament will take place at the Cambridge Golf Course on Clyde Road
GOLF
Money raised through the event will support the shelter's programs and services.

The Cambridge Shelter Corp is preparing for its annual golf tournament on September 29.

Funds raised from the event support the shelter’s hands-on programs aimed at assisting adults experiencing homelessness.

Working from a housing first perspective, the organization recognizes that each individual has a different set of circumstances and requires specific support.

Through a wide range of services, from emergency stabilization via shelter and food to medical clinics and haircuts, The Bridges offer both short term care and long term programs.

One of the main initiatives it runs is an identification clinic which assists people in obtaining personal documents needed to begin the process of independent living.

The tournament will begin with a light lunch, followed by 18 holes of golf with entertaining contests along the way.

The day will conclude with a buffet style dinner where participants will hear stories about how their support has impacted the lives of those who access the shelter's services.
