Cambridge woman suffers life-threatening injuries in Guelph motorcycle collision

GUELPH – A Cambridge female sustained potentially life-threatening injuries after her motorcycle collided with a car in Guelph Thursday evening, report Guelph police.

Approximately 7:30 p.m., the police attended the intersection of Wellington Street and Gordon Street for a report of a serious collision between a car and a motorcycle.

Investigation revealed a three-wheeled motorcycle and a Chevrolet sedan had collided within the intersection. The driver of the motorcycle, a 61-year-old Cambridge female, was transported to a Hamilton trauma centre with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

The 19-year-old male driver of the car and his 20-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries. The intersection was closed for approximately three hours for investigative purposes.

Police are in the early stages of the investigation. Anyone with dash camera footage of the collision or who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to police is asked to contact Const.
