Residents have the opportunity to dance, sweat and support a good cause during the Zumbathon Fundraising for Mental Health event taking place at the John Dolson Centre on Nov. 26.

Proceeds from the ticket sales are being donated to Self Help Peer Support mental health services at the Cambridge Mental Health Association Waterloo-Wellington. The program is provided by people who experience mental health or addiction issues for others dealing with a similar situation.

Instructors will lead participants through energetic Zumba classes, combining Latin and international music with easy-to-follow dance moves. Everyone is welcome, from seasoned dancers to newcomers looking to give the fitness routine a try.

Aside from the dancing, vendors selling a variety of products and services will be set up.

The event begins at 12:30 p.m. and runs until 3:30 p.m. at 212 South Street.

Early bird ticket bundles are available for $25 until Nov. 15 and includes a free door prize and 10 raffle tickets.

Tickets can be purchased here.
