Over 100 pet parents accessed the Cambridge Humane Society's emergency pet food bank in April

Cat food is needed to restock the humane society's emergency pet food bank.

The Cambridge and District Humane Society is in desperate need of cat food for its feline friends.

After serving over 100 people in need last month through the emergency pet food bank, its supply has dwindled.

Staff have since added the item to its Amazon wish list to make donating easier.

The humane society's food bank relies on community donations to assist those in need. Toys, treats and cat litter are provided based on availability and no specific brands can be guaranteed.

Pick up can be done at the shelter located at 1650 Dunbar Rd on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The program is designated for Cambridge residents and access is limited to twice a month per person to ensure supply is maintained and there's even distribution among the community.
