Playground equipment replaced by the city in Otto Klotz Park and Red Wildfong Park.

The City of Cambridge is seeking public feedback on the replacement of playground equipment at Otto Klotz Park and Red Wildfong Park.

The replacements are pending 2023 budget approval by city council.

Otto Klotz Park is located at 287 Garden Street, while Red Wildfong Park is located at 150 Melran Drive.

According to the city, playground replacement could include a change to features like climbing structures, swings, slides or colour palettes.

The equipment is installed with wood safety surfacing and is usable for children aged two to 12. It's built with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) criteria for safety and accessibility.

Public input is needed to help choose the right play equipment for the neighbourhood. Budgeting, maintenance, making the equipment fun and comments from the community is all consider.

Survey feedback, which is open until Jan 13, 2023, will be collected, analyzed and used in the process of the new design.

Once designs are received from the playground designers, residents will have the opportunity to vote on the most popular in Phase 2.
