Residents are being welcomed to attend the first public meeting about the City of Cambridge’s Parks Master Plan at the Preston Auditorium banquet hall on March 8 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The plan is being designed to guide the operations for all city parks over the next 30 years.
The goal is to provide a framework to manage existing parks and develop future parks in a way that reflects the needs of the community. The city has already been gathering public input through an online survey.
From 7 to 7:30 p.m. residents will have the opportunity to speak with city staff and consultants.
A presentation will then run from 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., with small group discussions to follow.
Refreshments and children’s activities will be provided throughout the night.
For anyone unable to attend the meeting, there will be a second survey and meeting in May.
