Sporadic and isolated heavy rains are causing playability concerns on some clay ballfields.
Corbett Field and the clay based HB1 field at Dickson Park have experienced seriously heavy rains and are closed for this evening as they are too soft for safe play.
Covenors, coaches, and managers are reminded that any field that is not closed should still be thoroughly checked for soft areas and ponding before any play for the safety of their players.
There is still potential for more heavy rains that may cause other city fields to be in a similar condition.
Field users are all reminded that the "When Thunder Roars, Go Indoors" rule should be used to stay safe!
