The Canadian Federation of University Women Cambridge will mark International Women's Day (IWD) 2023 during the organization's 11th Annual IWD Breakfast on March 11.

The breakfast runs from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Galt Country Club, 750 Coronation Blvd. Tickets are $70 and are available here.

This year, Drayton Entertainment CEO and artistic director Alex Mustakas will join associate artistic director David Connolly as guest speakers at the event.

Mustakas has produced and directed hundreds of theatrical productions across Canada and the USA. He is a graduate of the arts program at Eastwood Collegiate and of Wilfred Laurier University with a major in economics and has a Master's Degree in arts administration from City University in London England.

He launched Drayton Festival Theatre in 1991.

Drayton's 2023 season will see 19 shows performed on seven stages across Ontario.

Last year, Mustakas was honoured by the Governor General of Canada, Mary Simon with the Meritorious Service Medal, given to recognize outstanding contributions, and for his lifelong commitment to making the performing arts accessible and affordable for many people across Ontario.

David Connolly is the director of education at Drayton Youth Academy for Performing and Technical Arts, and is the theatre company's associate artistic director.

He is a multi-talented director/choreographer/educator who happens to be a double below-knee amputee.

Connolly is heading up Drayton's new $3 million "cultural incubator" that will nurture young people and 'trumpet' diversity and inclusion in the Academy.

He walks the walk while proclaiming that "disability is the last frontier of inclusion," and is an ambassador for both The War Amps' Child Amputee Program and The Shriners' Hospitals for Children.
