The INVEST Cambridge team is welcoming the crew of “The Invisibles” to Mill Race Park and the Grand River Pedestrian Bridge on March 9 to film scenes for the upcoming movie.

Filming will take place in the areas of Mill Race Park from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Grand River Pedestrian Bridge from 6 p.m. to midnight. The bridge will be illuminated for part of the filming.

The Internet Movie Database says the independent sci-fi film, directed by Canadian Andrew Currie, stars Tim Blake Nelson, Gretchen Mol and Bruce Greenwood.

The plot centres on a couple, played by Mol and Nelson, whose marriage is on the rocks when the husband starts to disappear.  "As he fades from existence he discovers a new world of people who have disappeared just like him."

Lucy Liu was originally attached to star. Most of the filming so far has taken place in Hamilton.

Tech parking will be in the Water Street North parking lot and street parking along the Water Street South from Concession Street to Bruce Street.

Crew parking will be on private property.

Parking on and around the Water Street South street parking and Water Street North parking lot (Lot #G2 near LA Franks) areas will be affected.
