Four fire stations respond to a massive house fire in Cambridge Sunday afternoon.
Deputy chief Brad Churchill said crews were dispatched to the scene just after 2 p.m. and remained at 34 Linwood Ave. until 2:30 a.m Monday morning.
Churchill said the single storey bungalow appeared to be operating as a rooming and boarding house with three tenants upstairs and two downstairs.
Everyone inside of the home was able to get out safely and Red Cross was able to provide accommodation to the home's five tenants.
The home sustained major smoke damage with estimated loss set at $380,000.
"Crews did a fantastic job in containing fire to area of origin," Churchill wrote in an email.
The cause of the fire is undetermined, but continues to be investigated by the Waterloo Regional Police and the Cambridge Fire Department.
