The workshop covers topics like exercise and healthy eating.

The Trillium United Church is welcoming residents to a workshop geared towards feeling your best as you age.

The Aging Well: Increase Your Health Span on a Budget event is scheduled for Nov. 9.

Guest speakers Ruth Thompson, a registered holistic nutritionist and author, and Robert Fox, a YMCA certified fitness instructor, will be discussing their seven secrets to aging well, self-assessment tools, health promoting meal ideas and strength exercises.

Thompson has spent 19 years as a nutritionist and Fox has twenty-seven years in fitness instruction and now specializes in the needs of older adults.

The workshop comes as the City of Cambridge continues its emphasis on the wellbeing of the aging population.

As part of its commitment, a 50+ active living fair is scheduled for tomorrow at the Beehive Hall inside the Hespeler Memorial Arena from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The fair aims to educate people on the programs and services available to them, the importance of healthy aging and lifestyles, all while recognizing the older adult population's contributions to the community.

Both events are free and everyone is welcome. A lunch will follow the workshop on Thursday.

Those planning to attend and stay for the lunch are asked to RSVP to the church office at [email protected].
