The Let's Talk Newcomer Youth Program gives residents a space to connect with others while exploring education and career options.

The the Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Centre, in partnership with the Idea Exchange, is bringing its Let's Talk Newcomer Youth Program to Cambridge.

The program is designed for newcomers between the ages of 14 and 21.

Beginning April 30 and running every Tuesday until June 18, newcomers can gather at the Old Post Office Idea Exchange on Water Street to learn about future career options, meet new people and gain volunteer hours.

Through activities such as drawing, poetry and drama, participants connect with community mentors and explore their career and educational goals.

A not-for-profit organization, the KW Multicultural Centre provides support and services to newcomers while working to create a more inclusive community.

Sessions take place between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Attendance is free but registration is required and can be done here. Bus tickets and food is provided.

The quick 10-15 minute survey helps organizers better understand who they will be working with to provide proper service.
