Halloween activities for all ages are taking place across the region in the lead up to Oct. 31

There's lots of fun things happening in the region heading into Halloween.

It's spooky season and there's plenty to do to celebrate in the region.

Bloody Berlin Walking Tours

Multiple dates - Schneider Haus located at 466 Queen St S in Kitchener, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Join staff for a back alley and side street tour of Kitchener to learn about murders, executions, grave robbing, shootouts, villainous doctors and pandemics of the past.

Screampark

Runs all month - Bingemans located at 425 Bingemans Centre Dr in Kitchener, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Fear Farm

Multiple dates - Snyder's Farm located at 936685 Blenheim Rd in Bright, 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Enjoy the world famous hayride and six outdoor haunted experiences.

Spirit Season : Nocturne Painting

Oct. 20 - Homer Watson House and Gallery located at 1754 Old Mill Rd, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Learn to paint a nightmare landscape.

Spirit Season : Movie Night

Oct. 21 - Homer Watson House and Gallery located at 1754 Old Mill Rd in Kitchener, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Watch 3 Casper the Friendly Ghosts movies with a chance to win a gift basket from Esta Chocolates. Tickets are $5 and supports HWHG’s mission to provide accessible arts education, exhibitions and events to the community.

Chilling Candlelit Evenings

Oct. 21 - Schneider Haus located at 466 Queen St S in Kitchener, 7 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Tour what some consider the most haunted house in the city while connecting with medium Angela of the The Angelic Alchemist.

Haunted Dance Party

Oct. 26 - St. Andrew's School located at 65 Victoria Ave in Cambridge, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

PhatGirl fitness is putting on a ladies night featuring a DJ, dancing, snacks, door prizes and a costume contest. Tickets are $5.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Oct. 26 - The Original Princess Cinema located at 6 Princess St W in Waterloo, 9 p.m.

Watch the cult classic midnight movie to get ready for Halloween. Showings available on other dates.

Spells and Stardust Market

Oct. 27 - Gaukel Block located at 44 Gaukel St in Kitchener, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Browse over 30 vendors and enjoy performances, workshops and food.

Halloween Drag Bingo

Oct. 27 - Farm League Brewing - 295 Ainslie St S, 7 p.m.

Crystal Quartz returns to run bingo. Tickets are $17 with the proceeds being donated to the AIDS Committee Of Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo & Area. 

Spirit Season: TOPS Paranormal Investigations

Oct. 27 - 1754 Old Mill Rd in Kitchener, beginning at 7:15 p.m.

Explore the ghostly history of the Homer Watson Gallery and an opportunity to investigate the gallery for paranormal activity. Tickets are $50.

Scareoke at Gator's Tail

970 Franklin Blvd, 8 p.m.

Head to the sports shack for karaoke and a costume contest.

Halloween Kids Day

Oct. 28 - St. Jacob's Farmers' Market located at 878 Weber St N in Woolwich, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

A free pumpkin decorating station and trick or treating highlight a day full of activities.

Trick or Trot

Oct . 28 - 445 Wes Graham Way in Waterloo, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Put the sugar from candy to good use during a Halloween-themed 5K Run, 5K Walk, and 1K or 250m Kids Dash.

Howl-o-ween Family Fun Day

Oct. 28 - Galt Curling Club parking lot located at 1610 Dunbar Rd in Cambridge, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Bring your furry friends in their costume to peruse vendors during this awareness and fundraising event for the Cambridge and District Humane Society.

Halloween Howl

Oct. 28 and 29 - All Idea Exchange locations, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Kids can dress up in their costume for a spooky scavenger hunt. Runs Saturday and Sunday.

Trick-or-Treat at Cambridge Centre

Oct. 28 - Cambridge Centre mall - 355 Hespeler Rd, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Join MP Bryan May for some Halloween candy.

Halloween Hunt

Oct. 28 - Downtown Cambridge - 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Over 30 businesses are ready to welcome residents for Halloween festivities. Start by getting a map from Retro Rocket Comics to guide you through the event.

Hespeler Village Halloween Hunt

Oct. 28 - Tannery Street and Queen Street in Cambridge, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Put on by the Melissa Francis Team, children can visit tents set up at Hespeler Village Square to pick up a map and loot bag. Participating businesses on the map will be giving out Halloween goodies. Cambridge Spidey and a photo booth are also part of the fun. Donations to the food bank are appreciated.

Grand Craft Beer Tour

Oct. 28 - Various locations, 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Dress up for Halloween and enjoy craft beer. Buses depart every 30-40 minutes for visits to Wavemaker, Farm League, Willibald and Old Galt Bottle Shop. For tickets click here.

Treats in the Streets

Participating businesses in Uptown Waterloo, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Go trick-or-treating at local shops and businesses. The first 50 kids to attend the Uptown Waterloo BIA tent in the uptown square receive a free tote to help them collect candy.

Halloween Tote and Scavenger Hunt

Oct. 28 - Queen’s Square Idea Exchange - 1 North Square, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Grab a tote at the library to fill with goodies while taking part in a scavenger hunt.

St. Jacobs Pumpkin Parade

Oct. 28 - King Street in the Village of St. Jacobs, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Pick up a free pumpkin and help line the street while taking part in costume and pumpkin carving contests.

4th Annual Kids Halloween Party

Oct. 28 - Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum located at 10 Huron Rd in Kitchener, 4:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Take the kids (12 and under) to an outdoor party that includes a haunted forest and trick-or-treating. Tickets are $10.

2nd Annual Haunted Hespeler

Oct. 28 - 18 Tannery St E, 5:30 p.m.

The Dewar Realty team is once again putting on its haunted house experience. Less spooky options are available for younger children. Donations, monetary and food, are being collected for the food bank.

Johnny B's Monster Bash

Oct. 28 - Preston Legion located at 334 Westminster Dr N in Cambridge, 7 p.m.

Listen to music from Country Fair Productions and enjoy food, prizes and a raffle table.

Haunted Halloween

Oct. 28 - Wavemaker Brewery - 639 Laurel St, 7 p.m.

Prize for best costume, name that tune and creepy cocktails are all part of the evening.

Halloween Party

Oct. 28 - Farm League Brewing - 295 Ainslie St S, 7 p.m.

Celebrate Halloween with smash burgers, a costume contest and music from the Pink Flamingos. Tickets can are $25.

Halloween Pooch Party

Oct. 29 - Gaukel Block located at 44 Gaukel St in Kitchener, 12 p.m.

Dress up your pooch for a block party with vendors, food and drinks.

Witch's Night Market

Oct. 30 - Waterloo Brewing located at 400 Bingemans Centre Dr in Kitchener, 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Enjoy local vendors, tarot card readings, pumpkin painting, snacks, beer and the Hissing Goose Coffee pop up.

Ghost Walks at Langdon Hall

Oct. 31 - Langdon Hall located at 1 Langdon Dr in Cambridge, 5:30 p.m.

Join in on a night of ghost stories, history and fun. Tickets are $38.61.

Izzy's Haunted House

Oct. 31 - Centennial Public School located at 100 Weaver St in Cambridge, 7 p.m.

Enter if you dare. This haunted house fundraiser features spiders, webs and spooky characters.

Hespeler Pumpkin Walk

Nov. 1 - Forbes Park located at 16 Kribs St in Cambridge, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Show off your pumpkins one last time by bringing them to the park for the annual walk. Drop off pumpkins between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Preston Pumpkin Walk

Nov. 1 - Central Park located at 615 King St E in Cambridge, 6:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

A similar walk is taking place in Preston. Drop off pumpkins between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
