The Cambridge Recreation Complex will have a multi-purpose room and the city is looking for the public's input on how to use it.

The City of Cambridge is asking residents to complete an online poll to help them decide how to best utilize a multi-purpose room within the soon to be built recreation complex.

Those willing to offer an opinion can pick between seven options of activities they’d like to see the room be used for, including arts and crafts, music, drama, cooking, a meeting space, a smudging or ceremony space, and a game room for cards and board games.

The new complex will be located north of the intersection of Dundas St. S and Branchton Rd and will sit on 32.5 acres of city, Waterloo Regional District School Board and Waterloo Catholic District School Board owned land.

Once completed, the facility will feature an 8 or 10 lane, 25 metre swimming pool and warm water leisure pool, gymnasiums, a running or walking track, a new Idea Exchange location and park amenities.

Responses to the poll will help inform how some of the key spaces in the new complex will function, the city says.

The poll question will be open until March 22.
