In a brief Facebook post, organizers of the Hespeler Santa Claus Parade that was scheduled for Dec. 4 at noon, said they've had to cancel the event due to ongoing COVID restrictions.
"The Hespeler Santa Claus Parade committee and the Optimist Club of Hespeler Cambridge are sad to announce that the 41st annual parade has been cancelled," the post reads. "This is due to the current Health regulations that are in force."
Organizers said plans are underway in conjunction with the Cambridge Santa Claus parade to host a drive thru parade instead.
When those plans have been finalized that information will be posted on Facebook, the group post said.
"Let's all cross our fingers and toes and look forward to seeing each other safely together again on December 3, 2022 at 12 noon."
