Sparrow Brewing will also be producing a limited edition of 100 cans of special label Hespeler’s Hidden Secret Lager Beer to celebrate the occasion.

Smyly Homes, Dublin, Ireland, personnel came to Canada in 1905 to look for a home to send boys and girls in their care. The Coombe home in Hespeler was purchased by Smyly Homes and is where the children first arrived before being sent out to the farms to live and work. This 75-page booklet details the history of the home and includes interviews with the children that lived there. A difficult part of our Canadian past to come to terms with.
