Idea Exchange to offer summer reading programs for kids and adults

Summer is here and Idea Exchange invites the community to visit the libraries and galleries of Cambridge to check-out something new.

Kids can join the award-winning TD Summer Reading Club and visit as often as they like over the summer to report their reading progress. Summer Reading Club is a great chance to read books, play games, build, create and win fun prizes. 

This free program is designed to inspire kids to explore the fun of reading their way and is the key to building a lifelong love of reading. The club runs until August 19.

"Reading club is not only fun for younger readers, but adults can join the Adult Summer Reading Club: Lawn Chairs and Lazy Days for their own summer challenges," said the Idea Exchange in a press release. 

Read books while completing tasks and tracking your progress online for a chance to win prizes. The club in on until August 28. Register at the Idea Exchanges website

Summer also gives the community the opportunity to check out something new from Idea Exchange’s Unusual Stuff to Borrow collections. Members of the community can sign out sports equipment, technology, games, and more.

The Cambridge Art Galleries also invites the public to enjoy their current exhibition, Wanderings and Traces.

The solo exhibition, features the work of Canadian artist Amanda McCavour and is on display at Idea Exchange’s Hespeler, Preston, and Queen’s Square locations throughout the summer.
