Mugs sold at Indigo recalled due to possible burn, laceration hazard

Health Canada has issued a recall of two mugs sold through Indigo due to a possible burn and laceration hazard.

The company reported that 7,326 units of the affected 'papa bear' mug were sold, and 8,867 units of the affected 'mama bear' mug were sold in Canada.

The affected products, manufactured in China, were sold from Dec. 2020 to May 2022.

The recalled mugs have a white exterior with black print decal bearing “Papa Bear” or “Mama Bear” and ears on the rim.

The batch number is printed on the bottom of the mug.

As of Sept. 27, the company has received eight incident reports in Canada of the mug cracking while in use, and no reports of injuries.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mugs and return them to an Indigo store for a full refund.
