The drive opened on Nov. 8 and aims to collect winter clothing for those in need.

The Preston Heights Community Group is hoping residents are in a giving mood as the holidays approach.

The neighbourhood association is putting on its second clothing drive until Nov. 25.

Winter items such as jackets, hats and mittens are all welcome. The clothes must be in good condition with no stains or rips.

Donations can be dropped off at 350 Linden Dr.

With the weather beginning to turn, Preston Heights isn't the only organization in need of donations as demand increases.

The Cambridge Shelter Corporation is running a monthly fundraiser in hopes of gathering socks and gloves for those experiencing homelessness.

The shelter aims to provide safe emergency housing and offers programs and services in support of people dealing with life issues.
