Preston Idea Exchange celebrating renovations with community planting day

A full day of activities, including planting in the community garden, is on the schedule
Idea Exchange’s Preston location recently underwent exterior renovations.

The Preston Idea Exchange wants the community to join in as it celebrates its newly renovated exterior.

On May 25, residents are invited to its Planting Day Extravaganza for a fun filled schedule of activities at the 435 King St. E location.

The day will feature face painting, bubbles, games and treats.

Erick Traplin is set to entertain the crowd with a concert at 11:30 a.m.

As part of the event, participants can head outside and plant in the community garden. Seeds are also available to be taken home.

For those hoping to explore their creative side, an area will be set up to create a living sculpture using soil and water while learning about Life in Soil through Cambridge Art Galleries.

Attendees can pick up a passport upon arrival to have stamped at each station and receive a free prize once it's returned.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is free to attend.
