The 2023 national poppy campaign has arrived and the Preston Legion is in need of help.
Poppy boxes will be available at locations around the city and the legion is searching for residents to help canvass.
People are being encouraged to go into the branch to sign up. Costco, Cambridge Centre, the LCBO on Hespeler Road, No Frills Preston, the Beer Store in Preston, the LCBO King Street, Zehrs and the Cambridge Centre mall all have openings.
High school volunteers are welcome.
Donations collected during the campaign are held in trust at the branch level to directly support veterans and their families.
